A digital platform for the voice of free expression.
Index on Censorship is a non-profit that campaigns for and defend free expression worldwide, they publish work by censored writers and artists, promote debate, and monitor threats to free speech. We follow their belief that everyone should be free to express themselves without fear of harm or persecution – no matter what their views and partnered with their team in London (UK) to redesign their website.
”Steven and his team at ipulse created an amazing and versatile site for Index on Censorship. They were a strong team that united best practices in design and coding with responsive and thoughtful web development.Sean GallagherHead of Content at Index on Censorship
With almost 7000 articles on their current website, the client needed to trust our experienced team.
The focus was around UI / UX for the visitor to be able to access each of the main sections of the organisation and cross reference articles and information. With almost 7000 articles in their current website, this was equally about the logistics of safely migrating a site of this magnitude (without losing the SEO and backlinks in place) as it was creating a visually appealing responsive experience for the visitor.
We made the decision to keep the website in WordPress as the client had a very good understanding of this platform.
With 7000 articles to migrate the consensus was this was the safest solution. The design team created layouts for the client that represented every page of their brief and solved the concerns they had how the site would respond for mobile. The entire team of UX/UI Designers, Programmers and the PM worked efficiently with their team in the UK to successfully deliver the product the client required.
